A safe, wholesome place where children can get a quality Christian education.
New Life Christian School is an independent private school in Yuba County, California and is a ministry of New Life Church in Olivehurst. At NLCS we provide a safe, positive, and controlled atmosphere where students can focus on receiving the fundamentals of academic education free of the social pressures and influences commonly found in larger environments. These academic fundamentals help students transition to the unique path God has in store for them.
Many NLCS graduates continue their education at the community college level, while others pursue training in the United States military or through technical schools and programs. Still others opt for ministry work or enter the job market directly out of High School. Whatever the choice, at NLCS we believe we partner with parents to prepare students for life after graduation.

ACCREDITATION
The main idea behind accreditation is to create an acceptable norm for quality education. However, with the wide variety of accreditation agencies, this norm can be widely varied as well. Additionally, with accreditation comes the power for these agencies to make decisions on behalf of schools. Here at NLCS we pride ourselves on never compromising our core values and beliefs while simultaneously upholding the highest academic standards. We abide by all Federal Laws, State Laws, and California Education Code requirements for private schools.
The question many families have is whether or not a diploma from an unaccredited school is a valid diploma—the answer is simply yes, it is! Many of our NLCS alumni have gone on to serve in the US military, become law enforcement officers, attend in and out of state universities, community colleges, and more!

Here at NLCS we utilize well-researched and evidence-based academic curriculum that is Christ centered. Our curriculum includes Abeka, Bob Jones University (BJU) Press, and Positive Action for Christ (Bible curriculum).

NLCS HISTORY
New Life Christian School was founded in February, 1981 when Bethel Temple Christian School of Marysville moved to the New Life Assembly of God Campus. This was made possible through the vision and efforts of the leadership and parents of New Life assembly who dreamed of a safe, wholesome place where there children could get a quality Christian education. Since then, we have continued to dream, grow and improve every year. The administration of NLCS remains committed to our original goal, the parents and students we serve, to the leadership of New Life Assembly, and to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
